Carroll Area Development Corporation (CADC) and Carroll Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Kimberly Tiefenthaler, has been recognized by the National Development Council (NDC) for earning her Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification. The certification is awarded to individuals who complete a rigorous training series with coursework on credit analysis, real estate financing, loan packaging, deal structuring, negotiation, and implementation of development plans. Before joining the Chamber staff in October, Tiefenthaler worked for the U.S. Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as the regional director for the North Central Iowa region based out of Fort Dodge. The goal of the certification is to allow Tiefenthaler to assist existing local businesses to compete in the modern marketplace and to recruit new companies to the area.
