Charles “Chuck” White of Carroll

Charles “Chuck” White, 84 of Carroll, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Journey Senior Services in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel. The Celebrant will be Fr. Terry Roder. Music will be by Gabe Clausen and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Choir. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Jack White. Gift Bearers will be Jack and Janelle White. Casket Bearers will be Chuck’s family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military honors conducted by the Breda American Legion.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Monday at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Chuck’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.
Charles A. “Chuck” White was born on July 18, 1938 in Odebolt, Iowa the son of Floyd Sr. and Frances (Hickey) White. He graduated from Carroll High School. Following his schooling Chuck served in the United States Army from 1961-1963. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to the Carroll area. Chuck was employed at various jobs throughout his working career although most of his career he was employed at Alliant Energy. Chuck enjoyed spending time working with and riding his horses, and spending time with his family and friends.
Chuck is survived by his nieces and nephews: Joni (Dewey) Vonnahme of Carroll, Jim (Joelle) White of Carroll, and Jack (Janelle) White of St. Joseph, Michigan; as well as several great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Floyd White Jr. and Damian “Doc” White.
