The Carroll Public library is hosting an event called Writing Your Retirement Paycheck. Kalyn Cody, the Human Sciences Specialist for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will be at the library on Wednesday, August 10, at 5:00 p.m. The two-hour workshop will teach participants about health insurance, inflation, required minimum distributions, and how taxes impact retirement. The event is broken up into two parts, with the second being on Wednesday, August 17. Individuals are asked to attend both classes to get the whole experience from the workshop. This event is free and open to the public but is intended for adults of any age.
