The 2022-23 school year begins for Carroll Community School District (CCSD) in just under two weeks. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says he is excited to see teachers and students back in the hallway. He adds over the summer, there was work done at the schools.
He adds that the school is also in the process of getting a new phone system. The teacher shortage has been an issue facing most districts in the state, and Berlau says they do still have some open positions.
Three of the four schools within the district will have new administrators to start the 2022-23 school year.
The new teachers will report on August 16, with the rest of the staff reporting on the 18. CCSD will have an open house on the evening of August 18 from 4:30 to 7:30, and students will return to school starting August 23.
