Republican Senator Chuck Grassley Was In Shelby County On Thursday

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley stopped in Shelby County yesterday (Thursday) for stop 79 on his 99 county tours. Grassley visited with the Shelby County Farm Bureau members and heard from agriculture producers. Grassley says at these town meetings, he gives individuals the opportunity to ask questions about what is happening in Washington. He says a lot of what he hears from farmers is inflation prices and labor shortage.

Farmers in Iowa have to pay $4.75 per gallon to fill up their tractors and semis. This time last year, diesel prices stood at $3.14. Grassley says they are trying to do two things to help lower sky-high prices farmers have to pay to transport goods.
