In August 2019, the region’s first all-inclusive playground opened to the public and has grown to be much more. The City of Carroll just wrapped up a parking lot construction project at Kellan’s Kingdom at Northeast Park, and Allie Tigges, the mother of the park’s namesake, explains how Kellan’s Kingdom came to be.
Tigges says that the construction of the new parking lot makes it easier for families to access the park. She adds that the new ball field is almost complete.
Brincks Exteriors hosts a golf outing in Breda, and this year’s funds will help Kellan’s Kingdom build a bathroom and concession stands at Northeast Park.
The golf outing is filled up and takes place on Saturday in Breda. Tigges adds after they finish the Miracle League Ball Field, they will look at expanding other areas.
Tigges wants to thank the public for their continued support of Kellan’s Kingdom. She says whenever there is a fundraiser, the community always supports it with donations. Again, all the money raised at the golf outing in Breda on Saturday will help them build bathrooms and concession stands at the park.
