Lori Rossiter of Willey

Lori “Red” Marie Rossiter, 57 of Willey, died Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her home in Willey, surrounded by her loved ones.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willey. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Music will be by Jane Heithoff and Tami Meiners. Mass servers will be Aubrey Behrens and Ella Brenny. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Lori Schreck. Gift Bearers will be Shelley Klocke, Mary Nieland, and Roxie Reinart. Eucharistic Minister will be Jane Pietig. Casket Bearers will be Jeff Behrens, Dennis Behrens, Steve Behrens, Mark Behrens, Andy Behrens, Joel Behrens, Adam Wempe, Scott Wempe, Craig Behrens, Tyler Behrens, Jeremy Behrens, Leon Canada, Justin Bates, Jordan Rossiter, and Jake Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Friday in St. Mary’s Parish Hall.  Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Lori’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.
Born on February 10, 1965, in Carroll, Iowa, Lori Marie was the daughter of Virgil and Louise (Beyerink) Behrens. She grew up on farm near Carroll and attended Kuemper Catholic Schools.  Lori was married to John Rossiter Jr. on July 18, 1997, at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. In 1999, the couple made their home in Willey, where she enjoyed small town living. Lori enjoyed talking everyone’s ear off, watching the Iowa State Cyclones play football, baking desserts for her family, and spending her weekend nights hanging out with the neighbors. She loved spending time with her family and friends, loved the family cat, Jasmine, and loved spoiling her grand-dog and grand-cat.
Lori worked at Farner-Bocken for nearly 23 years, until she joined the Fareway family in 2020.  Lori was a member of the Dedham American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Mary’s Guild and a member of the St. Mary’s family.
Survivors include: her husband, John Rossiter Jr., her daughters, Emily and Danielle Rossiter, her sister, Sharon Behrens, her brothers, Jeff (Paula) Behrens, Steve “Henry” Behrens, Dennis Behrens, and Mark (Laurie) Behrens, all of Carroll, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Sr. and Cheryl Rossiter (Altoona), her sister-in-laws, Molly Rossiter (North Liberty) and Sara Rossiter (Des Moines), her step-mother, Virgene Behrens, and her step-siblings, Terry, Jeff, Mark, Cindy, Tammy, and Kim, many nieces and nephews, her great nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Louise Behrens, her sister-in-law Linda “Nudes” Wempe, her niece, Ashley Mohr, her grandparents, and other extended family members.
