A St. Anthony Regional Hospital nurse, Jill Schultes-Pudenz, RN, has been chosen as a DAISY Award recipient for her outstanding dedication to patients in her day-to-day performance. Schultes-Pudenz works in the hospital’s medical-surgical unit and was selected based on a parent’s nomination form. In their submission, the parent writes, “As a mother of three premature children, I have spent many months in hospitals as a parent and advocate. I have watched many nurses care for my children, and Jill stands out above the rest because of her gentle way of getting to know her patients and their family members. My daughter was the first pediatric patient Jill cared for, and even though my four-month-old daughter could not respond, Jill spoke to her and explained everything to her. Jill had empathy and was sensitive to our history. She is a one-of-a-kind nurse!” Interim Chief Nursing Officer Sara Gonnerman says, “It was extra special to present this award to Jill because she has been nominated for the DAISY Award twice, and she is much deserving of this award. St. Anthony is proud to continually recognize our nursing staff for their dedicated, compassionate care through the DAISY Foundation.” To nominate a nurse for future DAISY recognition, follow the link included below.
