The Ar-We-Va Community School District is asking community members to head to the polls for a special election for the school. The vote for Public Education and Recreation Levy (PERL). Superintendent Jeff Kruse says the school is excited to add another opportunity for students and the community through the PERL levy.
The vote is on Tuesday, September 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and two polling locations are available. One is at the Vail Community Room, and the other is at the Arcadia City Hall. Kruse adds that the levy is thirteen and a half cents per $1,000 assessed evaluation.
Kruse says only about 30 school districts in the state are getting to vote on this levy.
Kruse adds he encourages community members to vote because Ar-We-Va has one of the lowest levy rates in the state.
Again, polls open on Tuesday, September 13, at two locations in Vail and Arcadia from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
