The City of Glidden is set to start a new sanitary sewer extension project after holding a public hearing at Monday night’s meeting. The project will take place on Minnesota Street, and City Administrator Brooke Peterson details the project.
The bid was awarded to Iowa Trenchless, an excavating contractor from Panora. Peterson adds the total cost of the project is $177,945. She says the contractor has a crew ready to go, so construction will begin soon.
Peterson says they have no sewer extension on the north side of Highway 30, and this is the first sewer extension project branching off in that direction. Individuals are encouraged to contact the City Clerk’s Office for more information on the project at 712-659-3010.
