No injuries were reported following a structure fire at the Breda Golf Course earlier today (Thursday). Multiple area fire departments were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:30 a.m. According to Breda Fire Chief Dan Wiskus, they can only speculate at this time on what started the fire.
Wiskus adds no one was injured during the fire.
The building was a total loss and contained around 30 golf carts. Wiskus says when they arrived on scene, there were no visible flames, just black smoke coming from the building. Authorities say damages from the fire are approximately $250,000. The Breda, Arcadia, Auburn, and Carroll Fire Departments, Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, and Carroll County Sheriffs Office all responded to the scene.
