Carroll County Supervisors Schedule Closed Session For Monday, Sept. 19 Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has included a closed session into their agenda for Monday’s meeting. At 10:30 a.m., the supervisors will enter a closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(a), “allows a closed session to review or discuss records which are required or authorized by state or federal law to be kept confidential.” No formal action is anticipated once the board returns to open session. Other items on the agenda include a canvass of the Sept. 14 Ar-We-Va Public Education and Recreation Levy (PERL) special election, which passed with 72 percent of voters in favor of the added 13.5-cent property tax, approval of final plans and specifications for the planned courthouse renovation and improvements, and setting a public hearing date on the specifications, form of contract, and cost estimate for that project. The board of supervisors convenes at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 in the supervisors’ meeting room. The full agenda and details on how to attend remotely can be found included with this story on our website.
