Two local residents have been selected to serve on Rep. Randy Feenstra’s 2022 Military Academy Selection Board. Trish Roberts of Carroll and Rick Franck of Denison are two of the eight members who will review the nomination request forms submitted to Feenstra’s office from young Iowans interested in attending one of the nation’s five service academies. Feenstra says, “In my capacity as Congressman for the 4th District, I am pleased to announce the members who will serve on our Military Academy Selection Board and review and recommend candidates.” The deadline for students to apply to an academy through Feenstra’s office is Saturday, Oct. 1. Application forms are available using the contact information included with this story on our website. Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst are also accepting service academy nominations at this time. The deadline for applications to their offices is Friday, Oct. 21.
