The City of Glidden is excited to bring a new event to town with the first annual Glidden Fall Festival. The festival will occur on Saturday, October 1, on Idaho Street and downtown Glidden between First and Third Streets. City Administrator Brooke Peterson says the event will start at 3:00 p.m. and be jampacked with events in downtown Glidden.
Peterson adds that the fun does not stop there as a petting zoo will be available for participants and many other activities.
The chili cook-off and the pie eating contest are free to enter, and Peterson says individuals wanting to sign up for both events must contact the city.
Peterson adds they are hoping for a good crowd at the festival as she has received a lot of positive feedback.
Again, the event takes place next weekend, on Saturday, October 1, in downtown Glidden. Individuals wanting to participate in the cook-off and the pie-eating contest can contact the City Clerk’s Office at 712-659-3010.
