Christine “Chris” Marie Riesselman, age 59, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
To honor her wishes, a private family funeral service will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 with Peg Scheidt officiating. Casket bearers will be Christine’s family members. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur.

Chris was born on July 21,1963 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of John and Jane (Gute) Wenck. She grew up on a farm north of Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in 1981. She received a degree in nursing from DMACC following high school. Christine was married to Jeff Riesselman on July 2,1988 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale. Over the years she worked at New Hope Village, Wellendorf ENT, and Audiological Services of Iowa for the past 20 years. Christine enjoyed being outside, sitting by her pool, reading, going for walks, and spending time with her family especially her grandson.
Chris is survived by her husband Jeff of Glidden; two daughters: Katie Blair (Daniel) of Vail and Sadie Buchta (Drew) of Ankeny; a grandson Isaac Blair; her parents John and Jane Wenck of Carroll; her father and mother-in-law Vernon and Betty Riesselman of Halbur; her siblings: sister Joelle White (Jim) of Carroll, brother John Wenck of Roye City, TX, and brother Craig Wenck of North Liberty, IA; her in-laws: Julie Hoffman (Todd) of Dedham and Bill Riesselman (Kim) of Halbur; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother-in-law Troy Riesselman.
