A Correctionville man wanted on kidnapping and sexual abuse charges out of Sac County was taken into custody last night (Thursday) by the Carroll Police Department. According to law enforcement, 20-year-old Gary Noah Joesph Juelfs was arrested in the 500 block of E. 7th Street at approximately 8:43 p.m. The charges stem from a report received by the Sac City Police Department in July. Authorities requested assistance from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), and Special Agent in Charge Darrell Simmons says Juelfs is accused of taking a minor victim and sexually assaulting them, resulting in class A and B felony charges. As of Friday afternoon, Juelfs remained in custody at the Sac County jail and is being held without bond. A class A felony in Iowa carries a mandatory life sentence for Juelfs if convicted.
