A Storm Lake man wanted on arrest warrants for alleged sexual abuse of a minor was taken into custody over the weekend on felony charges. According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers opened an investigation in March 2022 after receiving a report that 60-year-old Salvador Saldana-Jiminez had sexually assaulted a female child under 14 years of age. Their investigation led to two warrants for Saldana-Jiminez for lascivious acts with a child, a class D felony. He was arrested Sunday and booked into the Buena Vista County jail on a $10,000 bond. The Iowa Department of Human Services and Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
