Carroll County Voters Select Andersen For District 2 Supervisor

Republican Mike Andersen of Breda is the unofficial winner over Democrat incumbent Dean Schettler for the District 2 Carroll County Board of Supervisors seat. The initial vote count shows Andersen winning by a significant margin, 67.5 percent to 32.45 percent or 5,174 to 2,489. Andersen says he is ready to get to work for Carroll County residents and appreciates voters for their support.

Andersen campaigned on the promise of trimming the county’s budget wherever possible and improving the county’s rural roadways. Andersen, who owns and operates several businesses, is new to elected office, so his focus will primarily be on familiarizing himself with county government when he officially joins the board of supervisors in January.

Schettler will finish out the remainder of his term until Andersen is sworn in as District 2 Carroll County Supervisor in January. Tuesday night’s election results are unofficial until canvassed by the Carroll County Board of Supervisors.
