Local veterans celebrated Veterans Day by donating a flag and flagpole to the Miracle Field at Northeast Park in Carroll. Members of the Carroll American Legion Maurice Dunn Post #7 presented the flag Friday afternoon to Patrick and Allie Tigges, the driving force behind the project and parents of the nearby playground’s namesake, Kellan’s Kingdom. The Tiggeses began raising money for the all-inclusive playground five years ago, and thanks to an outpouring of support, the new play area was completed in 2019. Fundraising continued to include a Miracle Park Complex, which allows individuals of all abilities to play America’s favorite pastime.
