Gov. Kim Reynolds announced yesterday (Wednesday) the appointment of a Marshall County attorney to fill a vacancy within Iowa Judicial District 2B. Kathryn Austin of Eldora will take the place of retiring District Associate Judge Kim Riley. Austin currently serves as the assistant county attorney in Marshall County. She earned her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and her law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law. Judicial Election District 2B includes Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster, and Wright Counties.
