Area Law Enforcement Encourages Caution Due To Slick Road Conditions Thursday Morning

Law enforcement agencies throughout the region are encouraging motorists to slow down and use increased caution this morning as slick road conditions make travel potentially hazardous. In northern portions of the listening area, blowing snow is causing reduced visibility, and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office reports roads are nearly 100 percent snow-covered. Farther south, snowfall has tapered off somewhat, but roads remain treacherous. Officials recommend drivers reduce speed and allow for increased stopping distances if they plan to travel. There have been several reports of accidents ranging in severity this (Thursday) morning, and Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more information as it becomes available.
