Jeff was born October 16, 1958, in Syracuse, Nebraska to Arnold and Sharon (Phillips) Boldt. He grew up farming and that is where his strong work ethic and handyman skills began.  He would welcome two sisters, Glenda and Melanie. He attended Seward Public Schools where he was a member of the jazz band.
Jeff graduated from the University of North Dakota in Physician Assistant Studies, in 1986. He worked at a psychiatric hospital where he met the love of his life, Barb Sundrup. Jeff always said, “we have been crazy about each other ever since”. They were united in marriage at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia on September 5th, 1987. They moved to Presque Isle, ME where he worked in the emergency room before moving to Newton, IA where he practiced for Maytag Corp. in Occupational Health. They would ultimately relocate to Carroll in 1993, taking a position at St. Anthony Wall Lake & Breda Clinics, where he practiced for 29 years.
Jeff was a loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather. He was a hardworking and loyal kind of guy – always there for you and always willing to help. You could always count on him to voice his opinion. He was the guy who brought the laughs to the party and was full of stories. He loved making memories.
Jeff was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan and loved watching them in all sports, but his favorites were football and volleyball. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was mowing or cutting down trees, tinkering, listening to thunderstorms, or being our “pool guy” so we could swim. He also loved music including whistling like his late father, singing the Carpenter’s, and dancing to 70’s tunes. He was a very skilled handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed teaching Jeff Jr., Brandon, Jacob, and Steven those skills and was always willing to help. There was “no such thing as a small project”.
Left to remember him are his loving wife, Barbara (Sundrup) Boldt; his children, Jeff (Rebecca) Boldt of Santee, CA, Brittany (Steven) Spector of Kansas City, MO, Brandon (Kelsey) Boldt of Newport, RI, and Taylor Boldt and fiancé Jacob Lee of Waukee, IA; grandchildren, Brenna, Krysta, Ariana, and Erika Boldt of Santee, CA, Grayson Spector of Kansas City, MO, and Isabella Boldt of Newport, RI; mother, Sharon Boldt of Seward, NE; sisters, Glenda (Tom) Chambers of Seward, NE, and Melanie Brandenburg of Seward, NE; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ron (Helen) Sundrup, Alice Sundrup, Karen Martens, Kathleen Sundrup, Dennis Sundrup, Judy (Stephen) Davis, Diane Sundrup, and Patti (Steve) Sundermann; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Boldt; mother-in-law, Rita Sundrup; father-in-law, William Sundrup; brother-in-law, Steve Brandenburg; and brother-in-law, Robert Sundrup.
