The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education convenes Monday for their February work session. On the board’s agenda are several presentations concerning curriculum purchases, renewal of the instructional support levy, and a facility study from DLR Group. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the curriculum purchases are an ongoing process.
Berlau notes Monday’s meeting is a work session, so the board will not take any action on the proposal. The next item on the agenda is the instructional support levy. Berlau says this is an additional voter-approved levy that will need to be reapproved in several years.
The board will also welcome DLR Group to provide another facility study update. DLR presented to the board in October about improvements that can be made to the CCSD buildings. DLR studies suggested that the Adams Elementary building be retired, moving the district office to a new location, and work done to the media center and athletic spaces at the middle school. Berlau says the board is now working to determine which route they will take.
The CCSD Board of Education meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Adams Elementary. The full agenda is included with this story on our website.
