Sharon Mansfield, 52 of Council Bluffs and formerly of Dedham, died Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Council Bluffs.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Fr. Patrick Behm of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dedham. A reception to celebrate Sharon’s life will follow the burial at 2:30 p.m. at the Sharp Center in Carroll.
Visitation will be held from noon until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Carroll.

Sharon, the daughter of Dwaine and Mary Ann (Hartl) Miskimins was born on October 16, 1970 in Carroll, Iowa. She grew up in Carroll and attended Kuemper Catholic High School. Following high school Sharon settled in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
On July 7, 2002 she met Greg Mansfield, and the couple was married on July 7, 2007. The couple made their home in Council Bluffs, where Sharon was a devoted homemaker. Sharon enjoyed boating, hunting, vacationing, including Okoboji, Hawaii, and any place with an ocean or beach was at the top of her list. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends and cherished any get-togethers they shared.
Left to celebrate Sharon’s life is her husband: Greg Mansfield of Council Bluffs, children: Skyler Mansfield and Bree Mansfield both of Council Bluffs; step-daughter: Taylor Mansfield of Sioux City; Sharon’s sister: Brenda (Tom) Muhr of Exira; nieces and nephews: Matthew (Ashley) Muhr of Exira, Calvin (Kasie) Muhr of Exira, and Kelsey (Kyle) Lauridsen of Exira; 5 great-nieces and nephews: Kyle, Grace, William, Reese, Bodhi, and Dallas; her mother-in-law: Kathy Mansfield of Council Bluffs, and sister-in-law: Joey Maiso of Council Bluffs; as well as many aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: Dwaine and Mary Ann Miskimins; and her father-in-law: Gary Mansfield.
