Two individuals died following a single-vehicle accident in Greene County this weekend. According to law enforcement, at approximately 9:11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, operated by 32-year-old Ryan Michael Vaughn of Jefferson, was traveling westbound on Highway 30 near Grand Junction when the vehicle lost control and entered the south ditch. The Colorado rolled and struck a tree after entering the ditch. Vaughn and his passenger, 41-year-old Shiena Marie Hadley of Jefferson, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Iowa State Patrol in responding to the accident. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
