Carroll County Conservation Offering A New Grant Funded Program At Swan Lake

use for post

Carroll County Conservation is hosting a new grant-funded program for individuals interested in learning more about birds. According to Naturalist Kristen Bieret, the program is broken up into three parts and is called Building Better Birders. One takes place at Swan Lake next week on Wednesday, March 1, at 8:00 a.m. and runs till 4:45 p.m. Bieret says the workshop is hosted throughout the state, and they pick different counties to host every year, with Carroll County being selected this year. Bieret adds individuals do not need to stay all day if one activity piques their interest more than others.

Again, the workshop is broken up into three parts, with the first one taking place next week on Wednesday. The other two are down the road, one in the summer on Saturday, June 24, at Great Western Park in Manning. The last one will be in the fall at Swan Lake on October 27. Again, Bieret says no pre-registration is required.
