The Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll County Growth Partnership invite residents to join them tomorrow (Saturday) morning for the first legislative forum of the 2023 session. District 11 Representative Brian Best and District 6 Senator Jason Schultz will be available starting promptly at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Regional Hospital’s fourth-floor meeting room. The hour-long forum consists primarily of questions from the Chamber’s Legislative Committee, but attendees may have time to ask their own questions at the end of the program if time allows. The Chamber typically hosts a legislative forum each month while the Iowa House and Senate are in session, but the Jan. 28 program was canceled due to wintry weather. Two other forums are scheduled, one on March 25 at the Warren Timmerman Shelter House in Manning and one on April 22 at a site to be determined.
