Firearms And Over $7,000 Seized In Connection To A Drug Bust In Sac County

The Sac County Sheriff’s Office says multiple firearms and approximately $7,000 in cash have been seized in connection to a drug bust earlier this week. According to law enforcement, the United States Postal Inspectors intercepted packages containing THC edibles being delivered to a home in the 400 block of East 3rd Street in Shaller. Law enforcement was notified of the packages’ delivery date and time and were surveilling the residence when they arrived on Tuesday, Feb. 28. Authorities executed two search warrants on the residence in Shaller and a building located nearby on a separate parcel of land. Law enforcement says three firearms, including a short-barreled rifle, over $7,000 in cash, three marijuana plants, and other drug paraphernalia, were seized at the home. On the other property, authorities found evidence suggesting THC wax was being made and distributed. Twenty-eight-year-old Juliette Munoz was taken into custody and transported to the Sac County Jail. A second individual was also arrested, 28-year-old Cesar Omar Gonzales-Ballesteros. Ballesteros turned himself over to law enforcement on Tuesday evening. Ballesteros is charged with possession with intent to deliver, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and possession of a short-barreled rifle, all class D felonies. Munoz is charged with possession with intent to distribute, a class B felony. Ballesteros and Munoz have since bonded out of jail. The investigation is still ongoing, with additional criminal charges expected. The United States Postal Inspectors assisted the Sac County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
