Carroll Chamber Names Matt Greteman 2022 Citizen Of The Year

Matt-Greteman

Lifelong Carroll resident and supporter, Matt Greteman, has been named by the Carroll Chamber of Commerce as the 2022 Citizen of the Year. This recognition is presented each year to an individual who has clearly demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the community and its residents. Ed Smith, the 2018 Citizen of the Year, introduced this year’s winner. He says Carroll has a tradition of rallying behind projects, but ones that Greteman puts his support behind become a near certainty.

From his role in multiple capital campaigns to working with local youth, Greteman is always looking at how he can better the at-large community.

Greteman says it was an honor even to be considered for Citizen of the Year, let alone receive the award, especially when he looks at the other people recognized during Monday’s banquet.

He thanks his wife, Peggy, his kids, and other family members for fostering an environment of support for the projects happening in the community. While he played a role in those successes, he says it would be impossible without the incredible people living and working in this area. Greteman encourages others to take risks and chase that dream or idea they want to see become a reality.
