No injuries were reported last night (Tuesday) after a garage caught fire in Manning. The Manning Fire Department was dispatched to the scene in the 60 block of Sue Street around 6 p.m. in response to the reported blaze. According to Manning Fire Chief Bob Barsby, the fire appears to have started from a battery charger that had been attached to a motorcycle in the garage. The fire spread to nearby equipment, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before the garage was destroyed. Crews cleared the scene in approximately 40 minutes. The Templeton Fire Department and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services also responded to the call.
