The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will convene on Monday for their final meeting in March. On the board’s agenda is the approval of an agreement with the Carroll Education Association (CEA), a snow makeup day plan, and presenting a draft of the 2023-2024 certified budget. According to Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau, the school calendar is based on hours, and with missing four days and multiple early outs due to weather, they may have to push back the last day of school.
School officials will present the board with a draft of their certified budget at Monday’s meeting. Berlau says the board will then discuss the budget and set a date and time for the public hearing prior to publishing it. During this portion of the meeting, the board will also amend the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 budget.
Budget deadline dates were pushed back to the end of April after the state corrected on property rollback calculations. Monday’s board of education meeting is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. in the board meeting room at Adams Elementary.
