The United Way of Carroll is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its partnership with a local business that helped increase its annual allocations to local causes and projects. Last spring, Thrift World opened its doors at its new location off W. U.S. Highway 30 and announced a portion of its proceeds would be donated to the local United Way organization. Through this partnership, the United Way of Carroll added three new organizations to its support list and increased total funding by over $10,000 in 2022. The groups that receive money through the United Way focus on improving residents’ lives through health programming, educational opportunities, addressing income challenges, and more. The United Way of Carroll Board of Directors thank Thrift World for their support and look forward to their continued partnership.
