CCSD Announces The Hire Of A New Middle School Principal

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education approved the hire of a new middle school principal at last night’s (Monday) school board meeting. Scot Aden, who is currently the middle school principal of the Atlantic School District, is originally from the Carroll area. Aden says he knew at a young age he wanted to go into an education-related field.

Before working at Atlantic, Aden also worked at two other schools in western Iowa, OABCIG and Denison. Aden says he is a family man, which is one of the main reasons he wanted to return to Carroll.

Aden originally grew up in the Lidderdale area. He says with his lengthy experience in education, there is plenty he can bring to the table as the new Carroll Middle School Principal.

Aden has 14 years of experience as a school administrator in Iowa. He is taking over for the current Carroll Middle School Principal, Jerry Raymond who is retiring at the end of the year. Aden is set to take over at the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
