The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will convene at their regular time on Monday for its next weekly meeting, and they will open with a presentation from one of the men behind Wednesday’s memorial ceremony at Carroll’s Arthur N. Neu Airport. At 9 a.m., Navy veteran Don Bernholtz will present to the board about National Vietnam War Veterans Day. March 29 marked the 50th anniversary of the last U.S. combat troops leaving the country, and local veterans, their families, and the public gathered on Wednesday to mark the occasion and honor Carroll County’s fallen. Other items on Monday’s agenda include a report from County Engineer Zac Andersen concerning the Secondary Roads Department, continued discussions on the county’s RAGBRAI vendor permitting ordinance, and a presentation from NextLink, an internet service provider.
