The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will hold several public hearings at Monday’s meeting as they look to approve the district’s certified budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the hearings are open to the public.
Before going into the public hearing, the board will open with a public forum and review recommendations from the reconsideration committee. Other items on the agenda are non-bargaining wages and the purchase of new curriculum materials for the district. Berlau says setting the non-bargaining wages is something the board must do every year.
At the board’s work session earlier in the week, the board had a lengthy discussion with school officials about purchasing new materials for teachers in the district. Berlau says during the work session, officials reviewed the materials’ prosses, and the next step is to approve the purchase.
The school board will close Monday’s meeting by approving the 2023 graduating students and hearing a business office report. Monday’s meeting is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary in the meeting room. A link to the Zoom and the full agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
