The City of Wall Lake is currently juggling multiple projects that will help improve the overall appeal of the community. At Monday’s city council meeting, officials discussed various projects that are going on and prioritized ones over others. According to Administrator Chris Rodman, there are two main projects residents would like to see completed first.
Rodman says the bike trial has been in discussion for approximately four years, and multiple steps need to be taken for the process to start. The first is being able to find a route for riders to use.
Rodman says the bike trail is anticipated to cost around $1 million, with the splash pad being $300,000. Wall Lake is in the process of receiving grants that will pay for both projects. Rodman adds it is still being determined when both projects will start and be completed.
