Carroll County Conservation invites the public to Swan Lake State Park Saturday to help make the earth a cleaner place. Earth Day festivities start at 9:00 a.m. and run till 3:00 p.m. According to Naturalist Dakota Popp, Earth Day was started back in 1970.

Popp says Carroll County Conservation has multiple events for individuals of all ages to participate in.

Activities will take place at the eagle tent, the nature center, and around the lake. Popp adds individuals should bring an old shirt.

The Earth Day festivities are open to all ages and come at no cost to the public, and the event is a come-and-go style.
