The Carroll Young Professionals (CYP) are looking for volunteers to help them create May Day baskets for delivery to local nursing homes. The event begins tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:30 a.m. at the Chamber Depot on W. 5th Street. May Day baskets are a long-standing tradition in many parts of the world, and the Carroll Young Professionals are bringing the practice to their community. They will provide all the materials, including baskets, flowers, and goodies to fill them. All volunteers need to do is bring their creativity and willingness to help. The Young Professionals hope to create enough baskets to deliver to all the nursing homes in the community. Residents of all ages are invited to join them in this fun and meaningful activity. If you would like to participate, just show up at the Chamber Depot on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. No RSVP is necessary, and all are welcome.
