Lake View City Officials Are Searching For A New City Administrator

The search for a new Lake View city administrator is underway. The search began last week after current Lake View City Administrator Scott Peterson announced he had accepted a position with the City of Jefferson to become its new city manager. According to Lake View Mayor John Westergaard, their next step is to hire a consulting firm to help in the search for a new administrator.

Westergaard says working with a consulting firm is the best method to acquire a quality candidate. Westergaard notes they are hoping to have the spot filled by August. Peterson’s last day with the city is June 2. Westergaard says they will not hire an interim in the meantime. However, they have a couple of options to work with until the spot is filled.

Westergaard says he is happy for Peterson, and the impact he made on the community will be felt for years to come.

The Lake View City Council plans to hire a consulting firm at their upcoming council meeting on Monday. Peterson begins his new role in Jefferson on June 15.
