The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is reminding Iowa motorists of the upcoming closure of Highway 141 in Dallas and Guthrie Counties is scheduled to begin next week. Starting Monday, May 8, construction crews will conduct crack-filling procedures between Iowa Highway 4 and U.S. Highway 169 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Work is scheduled through Thursday, June 1, weather dependent, and delays are expected. Traffic will be limited to a single lane, and vehicles will progress through the work area with the use of flaggers and a pilot car. DOT officials note a 12-foot lane-width restriction will also be in effect for the project’s duration.
