Sac Community Center Officials Excited To Announce They Have Finished Multiple Improvement Projects

The Sac Community Center is just wrapping up several improvement projects that were mainly funded by grants and donations. Phase one of this project consisted of new gym flooring, batting cage turf, and padding on the gym walls, which cost approximately $260,000. According to Managing Director at the Sac Community Center, Brandon Steiger, a large portion of the project was funded through the Sac County Endowment grant for $17,500. Local businesses and organizations also donated, such as Iowa State Bank and the Sac County Supervisors, who made a $5,000 contribution. Steiger says officials are working on the details for phase two of this project, which will consist of painting the walls, updates to the conference room and kitchen, and potentially an air conditioning system in the gym. It is still being determined when the second phase will start and how much it will cost. For more information about the Sac Community Center, visit the link included with this story on our website.
