Paul Thomas Siemann, 71, passed away surrounded by his loving family, from complications of the flu, in Denver, Colorado on December 25th, 2022.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll.  The Celebrant will be Fr. Allan Reicks.  Music will be by Kathy Halbur.  Gift Bearers will be Paul’s nieces and nephews.  Lectors will be Greg Siemann, Diane Chojnowski, and Nona Siemann. Eucharistic Minister will be Dyllan Joan Walter.  Following the Funeral Mass, a luncheon will be served in the Greteman Center.  Paul will be laid to rest at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, next to his parents in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in near Lohrville.

Visitation will be at the church prior to the Funeral Mass from 9-9:45 a.m.  Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home and online condolences may be left for Paul’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Judge Ansel Chapman Law Scholarship Fund at the University of Iowa Center for Advancement or to a charity of choice. Paul will be missed by those who loved him.  Rest in Peace Paul.

Paul was born on January 20th, 1951, in Carroll, Iowa to Cecil and Vera (Jensen) Siemann.  He was the fourth of eleven children.  The family lived on a farm near Lohrville, Iowa until 1961 when they moved to Carroll.  He graduated from Carroll High School in 1969 and then moved to Southern California where he began his career in School Fundraising. Paul married Barbara Chapman in 1980 and together they moved to Boulder, Colorado and then to Cherry Hills Village, Colorado where they raised their two children Alexander and Molly.

Not only was Paul an innovator within the fundraising industry but he also achieved success with his father in the Denver Real Estate Market.  He loved to travel, cook, and entertain, but most of all he loved to be around people – his family, his friends and always delighted in the strangers he met along his way.

Paul is survived by his former wife Barbara, his son Alexander, and his daughter Molly.  He is also survived by his siblings, Greg (Carolyn) of Carroll, IA, Joan Frasor of Golden Beach, FL, Bill (Linda) of Loveland, CO, Diane (Burt) Chojnowski of Fairfield, IA, Jim (Lynne) of San Diego, CA, Mark (Sheila) of Salem, VA, Nick (Renely) of Kailua, HI, Jonathan of Phoenix, AZ, and Fadjar (Kanti) of Houston, TX, as well as 25 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Vera, his sister Laura, his brother Chris, his brother-in-law Tom Frasor, his nephews Kevin Frasor and David Lamb and his in-laws Judge Ansel and Corinne Chapman.
