In just over two weeks, local businesses and organizations will be dashing around a local grocery store for the Carroll Lions Club’s annual Grocery Grab, and there is still time for teams to register. The Grocery Grab will be hosted on Monday, June 5 at the Carroll Fareway. Lions Club President Sondra Rierson says it is a fun and exciting way for area residents to support the group’s mission.
Teams won’t actually be purchasing the groceries. Instead, they will donate the dollar figure calculated at checkout, which will be used to support local food pantries. The winning team also claims for themselves a traveling trophy and bragging rights for the year.
Rierson says signing up for a team is a simple process.
