Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) visited Audubon County this weekend, engaging with residents at the Feed Mill Restaurant. The senator held a question-and-answer session, addressing various agriculture-related issues, including ongoing negotiations for the Farm Bill renewal, California’s Proposition 12 that will add new production challenges for Iowa’s pig farmers, the approval of summer sales of E-15, his Cattle Price Discovery and Transparency Act of 2023, and more. Grassley says, “As always, hearing from Iowans instructs my policymaking decisions in Washington. I am thankful to The Feed Mill Restaurant for providing a space for us to gather so I could hear directly from my constituents.” This visit marks Grassley’s 43rd consecutive year of holding meetings in all of Iowa’s 99 counties, demonstrating his commitment to connecting with Iowans.
