A new garbage pick-up day will be going into effect for Lake City residents in the coming weeks. According to City Administrator Jacob Matthews, starting on Monday, June 5th, garbage routes will be changing, and trash will no longer be picked up on Mondays in Lake City. Trash services will be moved to Tuesday and Wednesday, with recycling services for the whole town offered on Thursday. A map of Lake City marking the streets in yellow and orange is included with this story on our website. If a resident’s house falls along the yellow outline, then their trash day is Tuesday, and for the orange, it will be Wednesday.
