St. Anthony Regional Hospital is set to host a press conference tomorrow (Thursday) featuring Governor Kim Reynolds to highlight the state’s Centers of Excellence program. Governor Reynolds introduced the Centers of Excellence pilot program in May 2021 to foster innovation and collaboration among regional healthcare providers. The Birth Place at St. Anthony was one of two recipients named in the program’s first year. It aimed to expand access to maternal care for mothers and babies in west central Iowa by establishing relationships with area providers. In response to the positive effect of this program, the state has allocated additional funds to double the number of Centers of Excellence participants in Iowa. The press conference features Gov. Reynolds and St. Anthony’s President & CEO, Allen Anderson, and they will provide updates and insights regarding the Centers of Excellence program beginning at 12:45 p.m. in the St. Anthony Atrium. Thursday’s press conference is open to the public.
