Work on the $3.89 million Adams Street reconstruction project is expected to begin in earnest at the start of next week. Beginning on Monday, June 19, Adams Street between U.S. Highway 30 and 10th Street will be closed for nearly five months as crews from Rasch Construction of Fort Dodge completely tear out and replace the road, the underlayment, and water and sewer infrastructure. The projected end date for the project’s first phase is Nov. 12, depending on weather conditions. The second phase, which runs between 10th and 13th Streets, is scheduled for the summer of next year, beginning on June 3 and ending on Aug. 24.
