The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has released limited details of the Friday morning shooting death of a Lohrville child. According to authorities, six-year-old Alexzander Pope was found dead in a home in the 500 block of Maple Street in Lohrville around 7 a.m. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from Iowa DCI in determining the circumstances leading up to Pope’s death. No other details have been released due to the ongoing investigation. Calhoun County Emergency Medical Services also assisted at the scene in Lohrville Friday morning.
