Earlier this year, the Carroll County Growth Partnership (CCGP) introduced two new grant programs to support businesses and startups in Carroll County, and the recipients of those awards have been announced. The Micro Façade Grant selected ten companies to receive $1,000 each for exterior improvements, such as paint, windows, signage, and construction materials. Among the recipients are Breda Depot E-Bikes, Downtown Lounge in Glidden, Las Margaritas in Glidden, South Station in Coon Rapids, The Shop in Arcadia, Vision Care Clinic in Manning, AS Properties LLC, Merican Made LLC, Ski’s Sandwich Shop, and Dr. Haley Neese Carroll’s Chiropractor. The Jump-Start Accelerator Grant awarded two businesses $5,000 each to support startup ventures and business expansion projects. Breda Depot E-Bikes and Dr. Haley Neese Carroll’s Chiropractor were selected as the recipients. CCGP Executive Director, Kimberly Tiefenthaler, says, “Small and medium-sized businesses are so important to our communities throughout Carroll County. Starting these grants is just a small way we are able to give back, help our communities, and increase the investment and development taking place.” CCGP staff have indicated additional grant funding will be made available for these grant programs next year.
