Authorities in Jefferson are investigating a suspicious death in the community this (Monday) morning. According to law enforcement, the body was found on the east side of the community, but no other details, including the name of the deceased, have been released at this time. The Jefferson Police Department has requested the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) assist with the inquiry.
